Carson-Newman's art galleries, located in the Warren Art building, feature a number of student and traveling exhibits every semester. The galleries are open to students on Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Warren Art's Student Gallery, which highlights some of the best work produced by art students, will open its first exhibit on February 17.
The Omega Gallery is kicking off a string of one and two-person senior exhibits on February 7 with Richard Alex Smith, followed by a two-person exhibit featuring works by Gretchen Hill and Megan Lynch beginning February 21.
Both exhibits will have receptions on their opening day from 2 to 4 p.m. These receptions offer the opportunity to meet the artist(s) and speak to them about their work.
More information about the galleries and a complete schedule can be found on the art department website, web.cn.edu/cncad/. The site also features background information on the college's art professors, as well as selections of Alumni art and course descriptions.
