The Eagles ended their regular season with an eight game win streak and had high hopes going into the national tournament, but fell short in the first round to 24th ranked Anderson College. Despite the loss the Eagles showed promise throughout the entire year and ended up with a record of 14-5-1 and finished with the best record in the South Atlantic Conference.

The Eagles were full of All Conference players including Forwards Omar Cooke and Robert Hill and Defenders Adam Thomas and Matthew Finlay receiving first team All SAC. Receiving Second Team honors are Midfielders Everardo Flores and Richard Marquetty, as well as Goalie Jordan Moore. Coach Allen Vital also received Coach of the Year Honors for the fifth time in his career.

The Men seemed to have all of the ingredients for a shot at the national title, and when asked what kept them from reaching their goal Goalie Jordan Moore said, "Luck. You can play great all year and just run out of luck, and that is exactly what happened to us."

Moore also added that the highlight of the season was beating a tough Northern Kentucky team on senior night.

"There is nothing like winning a big game on a night that meant so much to the seniors," Moore added.

Moore has also set the bar high for next year's season.

"We're going to be good, real good. We have a lot of returners and Coach Vital is looking to bring in some more foreign players," he said.
