Tipton claims top spot in Tennessee tournament

Whitney Tipton was the big winner for Carson-Newman winning champion at the After Dinner Speaking. Tipton also placed second in duo interpretation, fourth in editorial impromptu speaking, third in the pentathlon, and was a semi-finalist in both prose interpretation and impromptu speaking.
Drew Stewart was also a big winner for the college winning third place in communication analysis, fourth place in prose interpretation, fifth place in editorial impromptu speaking, sixth place in dramatic interpretation, and fifth place in the pentathlon.
Alex Davis placed second in duo interpretation and sixth in prose interpretation. Chad Adams won third and fourth places in after dinner speaking and duo interpretation, respectively. Josh Adams achieved third place in editorial impromptu speaking and fifth place in informative speaking. Jordan Rasnic placed fourth duo interpretation and Amber Burke gained fifth place in persuasive speaking. Jessica Fielden placed sixth in persuasive speaking and was a semi-finalist in prose interpretation. Laura Broyles won sixth place in communication analysis and Chris Black achieved sixth place in editorial impromptu.
Carson-Newman came away with a second place win in the combined competition of the swing and the debate.
