Lady Eagles Suffer Defeat at LMU

The Lady Eagles suffered their fifth loss in their last seven conference games with a 75-61 upset at Lincoln Memorial University.
C-N jumped out with an early lead of 20-8 and even led by 7 at the half35-28. They maintained the lead for most of the second half, until near the 10 minute mark, when LMU went on a 13-0 scoring streak, which shoved them in the lead at 57-49. The closest the Eagles would get to LMU would be after Lindsay Eggleston scored back to back baskets at 69-60. LMU's
Cassie Burks and Lindsay Eggleston led the Lady Eagles scoring, both with 12 points, followed by Shari Buford with 11 points.
The Lady Eagles (18-7, 8-6) will wind up the regular season Saturday, Feb. 24 at 6:00 p.m. in Holt Fieldhouse. The conference tournament kicks off Wednesday, Feb. 28.
