The Eagle Production Company (EPC)will host a bonfire Saturday, Feb. 24th, following the final home basketball games . The event will take place in the middle of Swann Field and will include food, a raffle, and karaoke entertainment.

A perimeter of 10 members of EPC will have to surround the bonfire at all times during the night to make sure the flames do not get out of hand and to keep people away from the fire. Because the field is close to the dorms, Shelley Ball, faculty advisor of EPC, had to get the event approved before taking any further steps in planning.

The bonfire will begin immediately following the Eagles basketball game against Catawba and is expected to last until about 10 p.m

EPC will have grills on the field to roast hotdogs and marshmallows. Drinks, including hot refreshments, will also be available. Karaoke will be provided for the entertainment of the night, allowing students to showcase their talents. EPC normally does karaoke at Homecoming float building and because it is always a popular event, decided to bring it back for the spring semester. A raffle/door prizes will also be given out at the bonfire.

EPC is also inviting prospective students and their families on campus for Saturday Showcase to attend the bonfire. The Admissions Office hopes the event will help prospective students get a feel of college life and meet new people.
